Pico was more like my front porch. Everyday I walked with my Great Grandmother to Safeway or Okay Liquor, so she could get her Scratchers and a snack for me. We LIVed in 3 separate homes, no less that 3 blocks from Pico in the 80’s. It was the epicenter of my childhood. From DTLA to the Pacific Ocean. World on Wheels to the Westside Pavillion(RIP).
